- Scored game winning, shorthanded goal in game 4 of the quarterfinals playoff against the Ottawa Senators

2008 – 2009 Season
- Became the Stanley Cup hero after scoring both of Pittsburgh’s goals, including the game-winner, in 2-1 Game 7 Stanley Cup Final victory over the Detroit Red Wings to help the franchise earn its’ third championship
- Chipped in career high 13 postseason points (8+5)
- Registered six points (4+2) during The Stanly Cup Final round against the Detroit Red Wings
- Challenged Philadelphia’s Daniel Carcillo to fight in Game 6 in the opening round series. The fight sparked the Penguins who overcame a 3-0 deficit in the game en route to a 5-3 win and eliminated the Flyers
- Topped the 20 point mark for third consecutive season with 22 (12+10)
- Tallied two points (1+1) in 200th career game in a 7- 6 over time win November 11 over the Detroit Red Wings

- Helped Canada win the Silver Medal at 2004 World Junior Championships, contributing three assists in six games
